PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Should I wait for these next gen CPUs if I am looking to buy a new gaming machine?

That's a good point, thank you Tony, I didn't actually think of it like that, I thought it might be that the whole range would release around September. I'm defo not willing to wait til 2025 though, so I suppose I should just push the button on the spec we've discussed.

...or at least to bring prices down on other CPUs

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Should I wait for these next gen CPUs if I am looking to buy a new gaming machine?

Just reading the article for myself, and that seems to suggest it may be around September for a release, what do you guys think, do you think this would be worth waiting for?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Should I wait for these next gen CPUs if I am looking to buy a new gaming machine?

I am currently in the process of buying a new PC, but I have been told about these new AMD CPUs which apparently have a 22% increase in performance, and am wondering whether I should wait for these to come out. He seems to think they will release around mid June...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST I think I am happy with this build, but want advice on graphics card please?

Hi Spyder, So my idea was to use the ultrawide for FPS and other games I run at my desk, and then, when I want to do sim racing, move the ultrawide to my rig, then when I eventually upgrade to triple standard 27" monitors (not ultrawide) for my sim rig, I will then only use the triple monitors...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST I think I am happy with this build, but want advice on graphics card please?

No I am getting an ultrawide, sorry I get confused with the resolutions, so I'm getting that BenQ monitor I mentioned earlier. 1 thing I should say as well, I do iRacing motorsport simulations, and will be looking to get triple screens (at some point) for iRacing, for now I will be using the...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST I think I am happy with this build, but want advice on graphics card please?

1 last question to you guys really, considering I am looking to play on 1440p and not 4k, would either of you suggest bringing down the spec of my machine in any of the components (CPU, motherboard etc) or would you keep it as is in the build Tony kindly suggested for me?

Thank you Spyder, that makes perfect sense :)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST I think I am happy with this build, but want advice on graphics card please?

I have noticed SpyderTracks's post https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/3000-series-gpus-do-you-need-a-3080.72666/ from a few years ago, and it got me concerned, the kind of monitor I am looking at is a 1440p 144hz monitor, something like...

Also Tony, what are your thoughts on the Overclocked GPU's, would they be worth going for if similar price? Would I see quite an improvement with the overclocking?

Thank you Tony, Amazon have the Ti Super at £778, so are you saying go for the integrated GPU from PCS and ask them to include the cables to install the 4070Ti Super myself? How easy a process is it to install? I have literally no idea when it comes to system building

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST I think I am happy with this build, but want advice on graphics card please?

Thank you both! :) The only thing I need to decide now is what to do about the graphics card. I was umming and erring between the 4080 Super and the AMD 7900 XTX, then I saw how much power the Radeon consumes and opted for the 4080, then I spoke with you guys, who told me my spec was all...

Thank you Spyder, I have actually found that exact issue with popping and stuttering etc on my current PC, with an Intel CPU, I am going with Tony's build, with a couple of tweaks, so thank you for both your input, it's been appreciated :)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST I think I am happy with this build, but want advice on graphics card please?

Talking about audio editing, I do sometimes like to use Ableton Live Suite 9, but that is definitely secondary and I would like to build this machine as more of a games focused machine. I am not doing any sort of serious music production, it's a hobby, and so I don't mind not having the machine...

Good to know, thank you again. Ignore my question about the HDD as I would rather have 2tb SSD, and buying the 4tb HDD is about the same price, and I don't need that much storage (it's how the PC Specialist guy built it), and if I ever do, I'll buy a NAS :)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST I think I am happy with this build, but want advice on graphics card please?

Thank you for this Tony, I really appreciate your effort, I noticed on the other build I had a 12 core CPU on the Intel build so should I look at a 12 core AMD processor too, or should 8 core be fine? You said it's the "daddy" of gaming CPUs so I assume that would be best, but thought I'd...

Awesome, thank you guys. I forgot to mention the monitor, I haven't bought it yet. I am going for a 34" Ultrawide, something like the Samsung Odyssey G5 or maybe the AOC Gaming CU34G2X, which appears to be a very good budget option. To be honest, I am looking at spending about £2500 to...

Thank you for your reply Tony, that is interesting as this has been built by one of the guys in the sales team at PC Specialist, and I had someone else check it and they both told me they thought it was a good build. (they mentioned the Intel CPU was 12th gen, but didn't seem to think it would...
